The roots of this initiative date back to the 1980’s and has become a symbol of hope for many families in our community that struggle throughout the holiday season.
Our annual fundraising campaign would not be possible without the support we have received from local entities and community members in past years. The amounts raised in the past have gone directly into a fund that not only helps families at Christmas, but also continues to help 3-5 families on average per month throughout the whole year.
A Christmas basket with all the trimmings of a turkey meal is prepared, delivered and given to a family in need just before Christmas day to ensure that all members of our community are able to celebrate the season of giving. The money raised for this campaign also allows us to provide food vouchers along with a Christmas basket to also ensure they can purchase groceries to last the holiday season. This is the gift that these donations allows us to provide to members in need.
